Google Takes a Bath
Glen passed on the fact that Google Maps will happily route your journey beyond the boundaries of roads if you ask it to. Their time estimates are probably a bit aggressive, just as they are for driving directions. I wonder if they’re doing proper Great Circle calculations to minimize your trip.
